    Dear Mr. Kasko,
I read your letter to the Haddonfield Sun this morning. Thanks so much for your reassurances about the process to be used for decisions about the Bancroft School site. I almost jumped off of the high speed line platform, though, when I read the piece written by Robert Linnehan in which he reports that the second aspect to be assigned to the new redevelopment planner “is to look at every single option…to even more development than the previous plan called for.”
Are you kidding me? Is this responsible use of tax money? I can’t believe that Haddonfield Commissioners haven’t yet gotten the message with absolute clarity that residents are not in favor of high density development to that site. Why would we pay for a firm to even go down that road? It is ludicrous and a complete waste of money! We need completely fresh, innovative, GREEN thinking.
Please, please get that option off of the agenda for the new planner and assign them the work of seeing what the Borough of Haddonfield’s history is and what legacy we wish to leave to those following us. No planning for “ even more development”. Yes for planning for development that will be beautiful, useful and enhance the Borough, not turning that lovely section into a mini-Voorhees.
With deep gratitude for your work,

If you haven’t already read it, please see the letter written by Tish Colombi and Ed Borden dated 11/29/2010 published in the Haddonfield Sun.
Whatever led them to lash out publicly in this way is beyond my imagination. The letter is clearly one that should have been written only to relieve their bruised egos and then destroyed without publication.
The letter did serve an important purpose for me, though. I now have a complete understanding of the level of operation at the helm of our Borough. Thank God for Commissioner Kasko, the only commissioner who gives a flying hoo-rah for what taxpayers want.
And all hail to Mr. Kasko, a breath of fresh air.
